Your trade
is your face.
MASK is the first NFT collection where the art evolves from your on-chain behaviour. You mint a bare face by buying $MASK from the Uniswap pool. The marks, the crown, the geometry of the background, all of it shows up only as you earn it. Automatically, every block, with no claim button and no game UI.
What it is
A hybrid ERC-20 + NFT registry behind a Uniswap v4 hook. Buying $MASK mints a fresh mask with bones decided by a per-NFT seed that materialises eight blocks after the buy, so it can’t be vanity-mined. Selling burns from the end of your inventory, newest first, so old ordinals survive turnover. Sending a mask peer-to-peer locks your contribution into the NFT before it leaves you. The activity layers render off whatever the chain knows about everyone who has ever held the piece.
- Supply
- 10,000 · fixed by token math
- Peg
- 1 $MASK = 1 mask in the same wallet
- Mint
- Buy from pool. No clicks, no list.
- Burn
- Sell to pool. Newest mask in your wallet burns first.
- Bones
- Per-NFT seed locked at mint, materialised 8 blocks later
- Evolution
- Trade path OR age path. 1 day, 7 days, 30 days unlock the three tiers — no trading required.
- Art
- Fully on-chain SVG. No IPFS, no oracle.
- Team
- No allocation. Deployer buys like anyone else.
What can happen to a mask
Four flows, four different consequences. Worth reading once because everything else falls out of these.
- Buy from pool
- Mints fresh NFTs. New ordinal, new seed, new face. One NFT per whole
$MASKreceived. - Sell to pool
- Destroys NFTs. Newest in your wallet burns first; oldest survives. Burnt ordinals are gone forever.
- Transfer to a friend
- NFT preserved, just changes owner. Your tenure (volume + swaps + days) crystallises into the mask's permanent state before the transfer; the receiver's clock starts fresh on top.
- Marketplace listing
- Same as a transfer. The contract escrows the NFT, posts the price, and on purchase or cancel hands it on. Nothing burns.
Pool sell is death. Pool buy is birth. Everything else is accumulation.
A mask cannot move in the same block it was acquired. ~12 seconds on L1. Invisible to a real holder, fatal to the atomic flash-loan exploit that has emptied other token-pegged collections.
How a mask evolves
Every activity tier has two paths. A trade path (volume + swap count) and an age path (hold-days). Whichever crosses the threshold first unlocks the layer. The collection stays fair to small holders this way: you don’t need to push 100 ETH of volume to reach Legendary, you can simply hold the mask for a month.
- Marks L1
- 5 swaps OR 1 day held
- Marks L2
- 15 swaps OR 7 days held
- Marks L3
- 30 swaps OR 30 days held (full lattice)
- Crown L1
- 5 ETH OR 1 day held (sigil)
- Crown L2
- 25 ETH OR 7 days held (gem)
- Crown L3
- 100 ETH OR 30 days held (celestial)
- Background
- Same swap ladder as marks. 1d / 7d / 30d.
- Big pupils
- One swap of 5 ETH or more (no age path)
Hold-time also crystallises on transfer. Days from earlier owners stack into the mask before it leaves them; the next owner’s clock starts fresh on top of the locked total. A mask carrying 25 days from prior holders only needs 5 more days from you to reach Legendary.
What gets burned when you sell
Say you hold three masks, in this order acquired: #5 from week one, #1287 from month three, #4287 from yesterday. You sell one $MASK to the pool today. #4287 burns. #5 and #1287 stay. You can never lose your oldest ordinal to a pool sale unless you sell your entire stack.
How “crystallise on transfer” works in practice
Each mask carries an effective swap count and effective volume that grow as the current owner trades. When you send the mask peer-to-peer to a friend, the contract freezes those numbers into the mask’s permanent state before the transfer goes through. Your friend starts fresh tracking on top of the frozen total. If they trade through it and pass it on, theirs crystallises too. The mask becomes a stack of every owner’s contribution, in order.
A worked example. You buy #5 and run eight swaps for twelve ETH of volume over a few weeks. You hand it to Alice. The mask now permanently records 8 swaps · 12 ETH of locked tenure. Alice does another seven swaps for fifteen ETH and sells it on. The mask now permanently records 15 swaps · 27 ETH. Activity tiers (marks, crown, background) render off the running total of every holder who ever touched it.

Notes on what an NFT can be once the chain is fast enough, cheap enough, and reactive enough to do the work.

The pool is not yet live. When it is, the address will appear here and nowhere else. Until then, browse the market for a feel of how peer-to-peer listings will work, or read On the Peg if the mechanic still feels new.
